Black Panther: Wakanda Forever may have hinted at Namor’s most powerful weapon. Namor made his debut in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever where he fought against the Wakandans in a climactic battle between Earth and sea. His advanced technology combined with his intellect and mutant abilities made for a tough opponent but despite that, Namor could have even more tricks up his sleeve.

Namor, the Sub-Mariner, is a beloved superhero and sometimes antagonist in the pages of Marvel Comics. His appearance in Wakanda Forever as the villain made waves in the MCU, and it is likely that he will continue to be a villain a while longer before getting a redemption arc. Although Namor has proven he has many weapons at his disposal, he could be hiding the greatest one of all.

Could Namor Have A Secret Megalodon?

Namor may have access to a secret weapon, a megalodon shark. The megalodon was a giant prehistoric shark, measuring up to 56 feet long and weighing up to 40 tons, who lived in the oceans tens of millions of years ago. Though such a creature no longer exists in reality, it is not outside the realm of possibility that it still exists within the MCU. Another possibility is that Namor using the underwater kingdom of Talokan’s advanced technology may be able to use the megalodon’s bones and sharp teeth to fashion a weapon or some form of armor. Even the throne he sits on in Wakanda Forever appears to be crafted from a megalodon’s remains, hinting that he may have a connection with the beast and proving that the megalodon did exist at some point within the MCU.

It’s possible that the waters of the MCU still have the powerful creature lurking in its depths, and the king could use it to enact his revenge on surface dwellers for the terrors they’ve caused beneath the waves. Although no one has ever seen this potential secret weapon in real life, it’s rumored that the megalodon is a hyper-carnivorous shark, with a fierce appetite and an intimidating size. With a weapon such as this, combined with his mutant powers, Namor could prove just how powerful his underwater kingdom of Talokan truly is. Namor could even command the creature to tear ships apart (as he can control other aquatic creatures and even other sharks in the comics) and cause earthquakes with its powerful tail.

Namor’s Megalodon Could Be Perfect For His MCU Return

The megalodon could be a perfect set-up to expand on Namor’s character in future MCU movies. Rather than giving away his most powerful weapon upfront in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever it would make sense to hold back so that when he appears again, the stakes are even higher. While Namor will certainly play a big part in the MCU going forward, rights issues cement his MCU future, meaning that there won’t be a solo Namor project anytime soon. However Marvel chooses to utilize Namor (and a possible megalodon) going forward it will almost certainly be an exciting ride for audiences.
