Adele celebrated her 34th birthday on Thursday and of course our favourite grounded singer kept things relatable as per.
We’re used to Adele going through periods of silence on her social media, after all, we know she no longer has the password to her Instagram. But 6 weeks without a post was starting to give us itchy feet.
Thankfully Adele chose her birthday to give us the gift of an update and shared two pictures of herself celebrating.
In the first, she’s wearing the ultimate birthday dress which has some pretty epic balloon sleeves and wouldn’t look out of place at an ’80s prom.
The second picture was a candid close up and rather than accessorising with her makeup look, Adele went au naturel, without a stitch of anything on.
While we love Adele’s glam, we can’t help but love her a bit more for showing us how beautiful a filter-free face can be.
Not only does she look like she’s never been happier, but her caption suggests that she is going into her 34th year in a much better place than she has ever been before.
