One Piece recently dropped chapter 1076 and, it is safe to say that this is one of the most hyped chapters after the conclusion of the Wano country arc. Egghead Island has had several chapters of the same caliber and Oda delivered yet another with shocking plot developments this week.

While the first half of the chapter was certainly not the most intense part, the second half consisted of some of the most incredible plot developments that fans have seen in the story so far. With more secrets being revealed about Dr. Vegapunk and, more importantly, Red-haired Shanks making his big move, One Piece 1076 was perfect from top to bottom.

Straw Hat And CP0 Team Up

In the previous chapter, Luffy and Zoro tried protecting Kaku and Lucci from the attacks of the Seraphims who were commanded by one of the Vegapunks to take out all the members of the CP0 and possibly even the Straw Hat Pirates. When CP0 suggested an alliance, both Luffy and Zoro looked disgusted at the idea. In fact, Zoro was extremely against setting them free in this week’s chapter, however, Luffy, knowing that he was much stronger than either of them, didn’t hesitate to set them free. Immediately after breaking free, Luffy and Lucci teamed up against S-Bear and delivered powerful strikes at it. Luffy made use of his Gear Fourth after quite a while Lucci went into his Hybrid Zoan form.

At the same time, Zoro and Kaku teamed up against S-Hawk and attacked him with ferocious techniques of theirs. It was also made known that there are two more of the Seraphims on the island that could possibly go berserk at any time. That means protecting seven Vegapunks cannot be handled just by Luffy and Zoro alone. The rest of the Straw Hat Pirate crew is going to have to combine their forces to prevent their death and successfully let Stella escape from the island.

Dr. Vegapunk Captured

Previously, it was revealed that there is a traitor on Egghead Island. One Piece 1075 made it clear that one of the Vegapunks has been working against Stella somehow and ordered for the eradication of every single body of Dr. Vegapunk and this most likely also includes the Stella. This was likely done due to this Vegapunk developing a complex that he knows best and given that Vegapunk has been known to make sacrifices in the name of progress, this satellite would most likely be working along the same idea.

In One Piece 1076, it was revealed that several Cipher Pol agents tried coming to Egghead Island due to them knowing about the potential research being done on the Poneglyphs and the history of the true world there. However, every single Cipher Pol agent was somehow captured and left to starve. The person who did this also captured Stella in the previous chapter and all of them are now in captivity. Vegapunk also goes on to wonder as to how the World Government found out about the research being done on the Poneglyphs as well. Clearly, someone on the island is working against him and it is most likely one of his own satellites.

Shanks Prepares For Battle

Without a doubt, the most interesting part of One Piece 1076 came towards the end when Shanks was seen in Elbaf, the island of Giants. While drinking at a tavern, Shanks was seen talking to their old friends and later, it was revealed to the fans that these friends were none other than Dory and Broggy. Fans know these Giants from the Little Garden arc and the fact that they have finally returned to Elbaf means that their duel has been settled, or they found a greater reason to come back. Shanks was then made aware of Eustass Kid approaching the island. Kid has been skirmishing against some of Shanks’ allies and looks like he’s going to attack Elbaf soon.

Knowing that, Shanks immediately set out to the sea to confront him. This means that fans will, for the first time, get to see Shanks fight. His message to Kid was to leave all his belongings behind and scurry to safety or face the wrath of the red-haired Yonko. At the same time, it was also revealed to the fans that the last time Kid lost his arm, he did not even get close to Shanks. It was one of his allies who took it. This time, however, they will take his life if he does not manage to win.
